WEG - Test Events 2013
The Test Events for the 2014 World Equestrian Games got underway in Normandie last week.
Peden is leading on all areas relating to Transport, Logistics and Stable Management for the 8 equestrian disciplines competing at the 6 different venues in France next year.
The Endurance Test Event was held in Sartilly last week. Peden's Stable Management and Transport & Logistics teams were there to contribute to the testing of all aspects of this venue ahead of the competition in 2014.
In the beautiful surroundings of Haras Du Pin Eventers arrived from as far away as USA and Canada to compete at this prestigious 3 day Test Event. Our very experienced Stable Management Team ensured that all rider's and their support teams were provided with the very highest standard of infrastructure and support throughout their stay.
In 2014 the Show jumping element of the Eventing competition will be held in the magnificent Stade D'Ornano Stadium in the very centre of Caen - some 80km away from the Dressage and Cross Country Venue. To ensure all aspects of 2014 were fully tested Peden implemented a military style police escorted convoy of all horses from Haras Du Pin to Caen.
The execution of the convoy in true Peden style won the praise of members of the OC and National Federations alike. See FEI News for further information.
DRIVING TEST EVENT
As we move into this week we have transferred operations to the impressive Hippodrome du Caen where the Driving Test Event begins on Friday 23rd August. Stables have been erected, and the overlay of the venue completed. 62 horses have now arrived safely into the equestrian venue to test all aspects related to next year's World Equestrian Games Driving Competition.
