The LGCT Final - Doha 2013
The Longines Global Champions Tour 2013 Final was held in Doha over the weekend. The 12th competition of the Season.
Peden had the privilege of flying all international horses, and their accompanying professional grooms, to the Finale which was held in the prestigious and futuristic Al Shaqab Equestrian Venue - The premier Equestrian Venue in the world.
The world's leading Show Jumpers riding their very best horses competed at the 3 day competition which culminated in the Grand Prix on Saturday night.
Britain’s Scott Brash was declared Longines Global Champions Tour Champion of 2013 and winner of the Grand Prix of Doha after a stunning performance on his Olympic and European team gold medal horse Hello Sanctos in Qatar
It was a tense cliff-hanger in Qatar with top German rider Christian Ahlmann missing out on the championship when he picked up one time penalty putting him in second place for the series despite a superb clear round on the amazing grey Aragon Z.
In the final ranking American rider Laura Kraut on her incredible gelding Cedric was placed third overall despite leading the series for much of the season.
After the competition the horses had time to unwind and relax before returning back to Europe accompanied by their amazing grooms. The final flight arrived home safely yesterday evening.
We are now looking forward to another exciting season with the Longines Global Champions Tour in 2014..
