History

Over a Century of Experience

The Peden name is undoubtedly the most respected in the transportation of horses having been in the business for over 125 years.
The story started with the transport of cavalry and race horses shipped by rail and paddle steamer.

The First Commercial Horse Transport Company

Peden were then the first company to transport horses “commercially” (knowing that they flew military purpose horses in World War II) by air in October 1947 when three horses purchased by Marcel Boussac were flown from France to Blackbush in the UK and transferred in a lorry to run at Royal Ascot.
